The Analytics job market starts to warm up in the month of March every year, followed by a vigorous 2nd quarter April, May and June.
If you are looking to grab a job in the Analytics industry this upcoming hiring season, the following tips should definitely help.
Tips to prepare yourself for the upcoming hiring season:
>>Know what you really want to do. Are you good at coding? You should learn Hadoop. Does your company expect you to work on graphs and well designed reports? Data Visualization is a must for you. If you are confused, you may take help from an Expert.
>>Learn the Analytics tools that are relevant to the industry. SAS, R Hadoop and Python are the “go to” tools today.
>>Just Theory (aka videos) won’t work. Get hands on experience of solving real life case studies. Most of the time Recruiters expect candidates to know “how” to use the tools rather than just defining what the tools are!
>>Be prepared for Statistics based Case studies or GD’s during the interview process.
>>Design your CV well -A good CV makes a good first impression. You should list all the relevant professional information that a recruiter would want to see in any CV. Brush aside the irrelevant details or personal information that makes your resume long and clumsy. Remember KISS – keep it short and simple
I’m sure you are also looking forward to the upcoming placement season in 2017! Are you prepared?
